Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol by Stern and Sirois
This month is a big month for me as my new book is hitting the shelves just in time for Christmas. From Markosia Publishing, adapted by writer Stephen L. Stern (Zen: The Intergalactic Ninja, Beowulf and overall comics veteran) and illustrated by me comes a retelling of Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol. This was a big project for me to work on and I had a ton of fun doing it. It is a fully color, fully painted Graphic Novel that will be sure to delight during the holidays. Now available for order from your local comic store, please give them Diamond order number OCT12 0716

Happy Holidays!
Hello and Happy Holidays!
There has been so much that has happened over the passed year since moving from California back to the east coast. First off, in August my wife and I brought our second boy into the world, Kiran Elijah Sirois. Born 7.9 pounds and 21 inches long, he is a beautiful baby who is starting to how sign of being a redhead! My wife had a wonderful Hypno-birth again with Kiran and he was born as healthy as can be.So since his birth we've had a great time getting use to the ever so hectic lifestyle of raising two boys. micah is now four and loves his little brother!
The roller coaster didn't stop there as we also recently moved (just before the birth) to the street that I grew up on up until I was 15 years old. We now live in the house my grandmother lived in , that I grew up next to. So in a way we have moved back to my childhood roots and I am now raising my two boys on the streets I know so dearly.
Since September I have been an adjunct professor at two great schools here in New England: The Art Institute of Boston and The New Hampshire Institute of Art, both in the illustration departments. the classes are a lot of fun,but the Fall semester is soon coming to a close. I am, needless to say, ready for a break. I hope to pick up the paint brush and get out my paints and make a mess :-)

Advertising Illustration- Thor & Rise of the Planet of the Apes
One thing I love about being a freelance Illustrator is the variety of jobs that come in. I have been very fortunate to work on countless amazing projects and it is always great to be able to look back on some of them. Some of the most fun I've had working as an illustrator has been on various advertising jobs such as these two. A few years back, I got the chance to work on some advertising work for Marvel's Thor movie before the film was released, thanks to my friend Brian Haberlin. I am not exactly sure if these were used, but it was an exciting opportunity turning the Volstaag and Hogun characters into paintings.

Last year, I worked with Cheryl Savala at Menagerie Creative on some BlueRay packaging for the release of 20th Century Fox's Rise of the Planet of the Apes. These were both exciting and challenging to develop because there were so many great memorable moments in the film. These key art images were not used for the final packaging, but like so many great ideas in advertising they do make wonderful portfolio pieces!
